Health and Lifestyle Challenge – Can I be healthier and more active by December?

I hope everyone had a fabulous month of June. I don’t know what the weather has been like for you, but in England, the rain seems never ending.


With summer on it’s way though (I hope), my friends and I have been wondering if we should become healthier. It’s been a long, cold winter and for myself and my friends. so my friends and I made a pact:

To improve our health and lifestyle by December 23rd. 

This isn’t about weight loss or anything, I’m not preaching about so-called ‘perfect summer bodies’. However, it is definitely good to make sure you look after the body you have! I have never been specifically sporty or active, which means I run out of breath quickly when I perform.


I’m a vegan which means I don’t have any animal products-meat, eggs, dairy, etc. This means I have to make sure I’m getting everything I need for a balanced diet. Many biscuits … who doesn’t ?! So, when taking on this challenge, I need to make sure I eat lots

You start by walking a certain amount of time. As the weeks go by, you walk less and run more. I think this is a nice way to start getting fitter because if you try do it without a guideline, you might get disheartened when you don’t tired quickly.


This isn’t all as nice and simple as it sounds. In fact, this is actually a competition.

There are seven of us participating, but the idea is to see the biggest transformation by the date listed above. This transformation can be visual (seen) or physical (more fit), but you there has be some sort of a change to show you participated!

I hope it goes well; we haven’t decided on a forfeit yet, but I don’t expect it will be nice! However, all of us are taking BEFORE and AFTER pictures to show progress and motivate ourselves.
