運動会は代表的な日本の学校行事の１つです。

春か秋に開催される所が多いです。

生徒たちは、紅白など2チーム以上に分かれて、かけっこ、玉入れ、つな引出しなどで勝ち負けを競い合います。

先生や保護者も一緒に競技に参加する学校もあります。

また、ダンス、組体操、鼓笛隊など日頃の練習の成果を発表する場所でもあります。

そして、応援に来てくれた家族と一緒に食べるランチタイムも楽しみの１つです。

一番盛り上がるのが、最後に行われるチーム対抗リレーです。

リレーを走る選手はもちろん、観戦する生徒、先生、親たちも一生懸命声を上げて応援します。

School event  “Sports day”.

Sports day is one of the representative school events in Japan.　It is often held in spring or autumn.

The students are divided into two or more teams, such as red and white. Students compete for events such as sprinting (kakkeko), beanbag toss, tug of war, etc.  In some schools, teachers and homeroom teachers also take part in events.

Also, it is a place to demonstrate the results of daily practice for things such as dancing, gymnastics, and flute corps.  And one of the pleasures is to eat lunch boxes with the families who came to cheer them. The most exciting event is the final team competition relay.

Not only the players who run the relay, but also the students, teachers, and parents who watch the race raise their voices and cheer for them.
