Hi, everyone!<\/span><\/p>\n

When traveling, it would be great for you to know some English words that are often used while traveling overseas. Here are some words that I think you should know when going abroad on a trip. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u65c5\u884c\u3067\u4f7f\u3048\u308b\u82f1\u8a9e\u8868\u73fe\u3092\u899a\u3048\u3088\u3046\uff01<\/h2>\n

Destination:<\/strong> This is the place where you reach and where you will be spending your holiday.<\/span><\/p>\n

For example:<\/span><\/p>\n

“It took me three hours to get to my destination” <\/span><\/p>\n

“I can’t wait to get to my holiday destination”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sightseeing:<\/strong> This refers to going to different places of interest at your destination. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example: <\/span><\/p>\n

“I will go sightseeing around London today”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I enjoyed sightseeing throughout Europe”
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Hotel:<\/strong> This is the place where you will be staying at for the duration of your trip. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example:<\/span><\/p>\n

“I booked a five-star hotel in Paris”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“The hotel where I stayed at was dirty and unhygienic”.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Journey<\/strong> – This is the process of going from one place to another. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example:<\/span><\/p>\n

“My journey to Rome was filled with exciting events”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I am looking forward to journeying throughout Europe by train”
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Luggage:<\/strong> These are the bags or suitcases in which you pack your things to use while traveling. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example:<\/span><\/p>\n

“It took me a couple of hours to pack my luggage”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Half of my luggage got lost at the airport” <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Passenger:<\/strong> This refers to the traveler in a bus\/train\/flight going from one place to another. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example:<\/span><\/p>\n

“There were many noisy passengers on the flight”\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

“I spoke to the passenger sitting next to me”
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tour:<\/strong> A journey undertaken for business, leisure or education. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example: <\/span><\/p>\n

“I will go on a tour of Europe this summer”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I enjoy touring rural villages in my country”<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tourism:<\/strong> This refers to the industry related to trips and journeys to different destinations. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example:<\/span><\/p>\n

“I work in the tourism industry”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“This country’s economy is heavily dependant on tourism”. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tourist:<\/strong> This refers to an individual who is traveling to a place for pleasure. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example: <\/span><\/p>\n

“I saw many tourists in Akihabara”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“The bus was carrying tourists from Osaka to Tokyo”
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Travel agent:<\/strong> This is the person whose duty it is to organize travel for clients. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 “The travel agent sent me a copy of the tickets online”<\/span><\/p>\n

“He has been working as a travel agent for the past one decade”. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Vacation:<\/strong> This is a fixed holiday period in between academic terms. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example: <\/span><\/p>\n

“I am looking forward to my summer vacation”
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

“My vacation to South America was wonderful”<\/span><\/p>\n
