You can make this recipe also with tofu in case you cannot find paneer in local stores. This dish can be had with naan (flat Indian bread) or rice. It is one of the most ordered dishes in urban Indian restaurants. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>At first,<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">How to make paneer (Indian cottage cheese) at home<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Boil one liter of milk, squeeze some lemon juice or vinegar when the milk is boiling. When enough lemon juice\/vinegar is added, you will find the milk curdling. Switch off the gas, let it cool, strain and collect the cheese in a fine cloth and then let it set until it is firm. When it is firm, set it on a plate and cut it into cubes. Keep it aside. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"s1\"><strong>How to make &#8220;matar paneer curry&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h1 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ingredients: <\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">One small bay leaf<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">200 grams of paneer<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A handful of peas<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">One slit green chilli<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">One medium-sized onion, finely sliced<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">One tablespoon ginger-garlic paste<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Two tomatoes cut into four pieces<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Half teaspoon turmeric powder<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Half teaspoon red chilli powder<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A teaspoon of garam masala (a mixture made of cardamon, cinnamon and cloves)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Salt to taste<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A handful of green coriander leaves to garnish.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">How to make the dish:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">1. Heat one tablespoon of oil in the vessel. Let it become hot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">2. Add the bay leaf.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">3. Now add the sliced onions and fry till it changes color.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">4. Add the ginger-garlic paste. Sautee for some time. If it becomes too dry, you can add some water.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">5. Add the salt, turmeric, and chili powder and saute for a few more minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">6. Next, add a handful of green peas and tomatoes. Continue to stir.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">7. Pour one cup of water. Let it come to boil. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">8. Mix the curry well till it becomes thick and creamy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">9. Now, add the cubed paneer. Let it boil for two minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">10. You can check the curry to see if you need to add more salt. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">11. Add the slit green chili and the garam masala powder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">12.
