Hey there everyone!<\/p>\n
It\u2019s September, and surely, getting into a lot of people\u2019s favourite season! Autumn is when things cool down to the perfect temperature in Japan, there\u2019s tons of good food, like new rice, and many, many more things that I don\u2019t have time to write.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s also when the days get shorter, and we all get a bit more time inside, which isn’t a bad thing after the long summer days!<\/p>\n
I spent the majority of my summer in Hamburg, Germany this year, visiting my partner, and those came with some super, super long days! Think first light hitting around 4:45 am, with daylight lasting well into 10 pm! I did find some time for work though, and it wasn’t all fun and games outside.<\/p>\n
For me, I\u2019m looking forward to autumn because I\u2019m taking a big step and offering a Summit Course<\/strong><\/a> this year.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve been reluctant to offer one so far, because I wanted to do them properly. For students that take summit courses, they want to improve and see guaranteed gains, and I didn’t want to disappoint.<\/p>\n You can think of my summit course as having me as your tutor for a set period! The course will basically be tailored around each student, and the student will also have input about what they want to learn.<\/p>\n In the end, learning is a \u20182-way street\u2019 as they say; it requires effort from both the teacher\u2019s and the student\u2019s side.<\/p>\n The focus of the course will be the same for everyone though. It\u2019s shown that motivation is one of the best ways to learn quickly.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re not interested in something, your brain won\u2019t bother remembering it. But, if you’re engaged in the content, your brain will prioritise learning it. So, my course will be all about learning English with real situations, and fun ones. We will use media and different situations to use it.<\/p>\n Of course, learning is tough work, but you can still have fun at the same time. By varying the approach, you can learn fast. At least, that\u2019s my plan!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I\u2019m already running out of time, but I can\u2019t wait to see you all online.<\/p>\n I know there are lots of dedicated language learners out there, and I want to learn with you!
