Hello! Today, let’s talk about some tips for English conversation. <\/span><\/p>\n

Specifically, I want to talk about how to converse in the following situations: <\/span><\/p>\n

  1. When meeting up with a friend<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. When talking formally<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. When meeting someone for the first time\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. When apologizing<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. When wishing someone good luck for something <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n


    \nThe most important thing to remember in any social encounter is to always appear confident and positive. That will make a good impression on the listener! <\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Conversation tips\u30fcWhen meeting up with a friend:<\/i><\/span><\/h2>\n

    In informal\/ casual situations while meeting up with a friend, start with a warm greeting like<\/span><\/p>\n

    ‘Hi, how have you been?’ <\/span><\/p>\n

    or ‘Hey, how are you doing these days?’ <\/span><\/p>\n

    Then following the answer of the friend in front of you (for example: “I’ve been doing well these days”) you can say something friendly like:<\/span><\/p>\n

    “That’s good to hear” <\/span><\/p>\n

    or “That’s good to know”. <\/span><\/p>\n

    The above lines are introductory ones.To continue with the conversation, you can say <\/span><\/p>\n

    “So, what’s up with you these days?”<\/span><\/p>\n

    or “How is work going?”<\/span><\/p>\n

    You can then launch into the actual conversation where you discuss the details of your life and your friend’s life. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Some useful phrases are:<\/span><\/p>\n

    “I heard you have been busy these days” <\/span><\/p>\n

    or “How is your husband\/wife?” <\/span><\/p>\n

    You can continue the conversation by talking about the weather, for example:<\/span><\/p>\n

    “The weather is quite pleasant these days, isn’t it?” <\/span><\/p>\n

    or “Isn’t it a bit chilly these days?” <\/span><\/p>\n

    or “How are you holding up in this heat?”<\/span><\/p>\n

    You can then launch into the heart of the conversation by stating<\/span><\/p>\n

    -“It’s great to meet you”. <\/span><\/p>\n

    You can then launch into the heart of the conversation by using the following phrases:<\/span><\/p>\n

    -“Where are you from?”
    \n-“What is your job like? Do you enjoy it?”
    \n-“The weather is quite pleasant these days, isn’t it?”<\/span><\/p>\n

    -“What are some hobbies that you enjoy?”
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n

    When ending the conversation, you can say:<\/span><\/p>\n

    “It was lovely talking to you” <\/span><\/p>\n

    or “I wish you all the best”. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Let’s move on to a situation where you need to apologize to someone. What are some lines you can use in such situations? <\/span><\/p>\n

    -“I’m deeply sorry for the error”.

    We use the following phrases when wishing someone good luck. <\/span><\/p>\n
