What language do dogs “speak\/understand”?\u00a0 Sorry, “cat lovers”!\u00a0 I’m not being partial…..it just happens that I have a dog, not a cat!<\/p>\n
Maybe similar ideas work for any pet?<\/p>\n
Many experts claim that dogs don’t really understand a certain language.\u00a0 They say we are sending them a signal through our tone, body language, etc.\u00a0 I don’t totally buy that!\u00a0 My dog reacts to our words even when he is looking the other way(yes, we have tried with controlled tones)!<\/p>\n
Whichever way you think, I thought it would be fun to introduce some basic “doggie” English!<\/p>\n
BASIC COMMANDS<\/strong>(every doggie should at least try)<\/p>\n Ok!\u00a0 Let’s start with some basics!<\/p>\n \u304a\u3059\u308f\u308a :\u00a0 “sit”<\/p>\n \u307e\u3066 : \u00a0“stay”<\/p>\n \u304a\u3057\u3083\u3079\u308a :\u00a0 “speak”<\/p>\n \u30b4\u30ed\u30f3 :\u00a0 “roll over”<\/p>\n \u304a\u624b : \u00a0“shake”<\/p>\n \u30cf\u30a4\u30bf\u30c3\u30c1 :\u00a0 “high five”<\/p>\n Remember : with the first four, a stong voice does help!\u00a0 With the other two, you have to do it together!\u00a0 I am sure there are many other words dog owners use, but in my family, these are “doggie” English!<\/p>\n HAPPY DOGGIE WORDS<\/strong>(words that make their tails wag)<\/p>\n These are some words are doggie loves and responds to accordingly!\u00a0 Here, again, every owner probably has their own special version!\u00a0 These are a few we use…..you might want to try!<\/p>\n \u304a\u6563\u6b69\u884c\u304f\u3088 :\u00a0\u00a0“OUTSIDE?”\u00a0\u00a0 He runs to get his leash!<\/p>\n \u5bb6\u306b\u3082\u3069\u308b\u3088 :\u00a0 “HOUSE!”\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If ready, he dashes for home!<\/p>\n \u3054\u306f\u3093\u3060\u3088 :\u00a0 “FOOD!”\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Our pup is unique in this area!\u00a0 He never comes running, and he eats REALLY slowly!\u00a0 By the way, when finished, he “speaks” till we\u00a0see the “gone! gone!” and praise him!<\/p>\n \u304a\u3084\u3064\u3060\u3088 :\u00a0 “SNACK TIME!”\u00a0\u00a0 Just the word “snack” will bring him running from anywhere in the house!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SCOLDIG and PRAISING<\/strong>(we have to know who the boss is)<\/p>\n \u30c0\u30e1 :\u00a0 “NO!”\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This is maybe the easiest word, but the most important!\u00a0 Another similar word\u00a0is “STOP!”<\/p>\n \u3044\u3044\u5b50\u3000\u3044\u3044\u5b50 :\u00a0 “GOOD BOY!”(or girl)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We usually hug him and pet him while\u00a0saying “Your such a good boy!\u00a0 Yes, you are!”\u00a0 He loves these moments, and snuggles\u00a0up close!<\/p>\n Whenever our pup\u00a0is good or follows a command, we try to say “thank you” to him!\u00a0 To him, this is another way of being praised!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Now, are you ready to teach your doggie English?\u00a0 It’s easy!\u00a0 It’s fun!\u00a0 You should really give it a try!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hey guys!\u00a0 This is Beth!\u00a0 How’s it going?\u00a0 Everyone out there doing ok?
